Jan 22, 2018  I honestly must say, as a long time gamer, I just don't understand current developers' allergy to including cheat codes in their games. Sometimes, I just want to breeze through a game, either because the game just isn't commanding my attention, or I just don't want to invest the time. Why not include them for a game that can be played single player?

Valve and CodeWeavers are doing some great work for Linux gaming, with Steam Play seeing two updates in a single day.Firstly, the older Proton series got updated to 3.16-9 which includes mostly minor changes like an updated DXVK to 1.0.2, a fix for some games failing or crashing in certain locales and fixes to minor xaudio2 and winhttp bugs.Onto the real goodies now, as Proton 4.2-3 is also available today with some major changes included!The first one is the inclusion of wine-mono, which they said should enable 'many XNA games, Unreal Engine 3 games, game launchers, and more' to work. Mining can become very lucrative quick. Don't forget to hover your mouse over the items going into your storage. Those items will change in value over time. You may find you want to eject certain items and go for others. What was valuable a few trips ago may not be valuable now. The economy in this game is dynamic unless you turned those options off.

Upgrade your ship to a larger frame which can carry more as soon as you can afford it. Make map bookmarks so you can quickly travel from station to asteroid fields quickly and with the least amount of fuel burnt, saving you extra cash. Also don't forget to wander into nebulaes. They have asteroids with different items in them.

The money will begin to roll in. I don't do that much mining, the only time I mine is when I happen to end up near asteroids while doing other stuff like contracts, in which case I'll mine a bit before moving on just because I'm already there.If you really want to mine then don't just sit still, switch to inertial and circle around the asteroid.Your mining will speed up because you'll hit more points around the asteroid.Also you get some practice with the thrusters as a side benefit.That said, I prefer contracts over mining.
